Project Athena - Day 175 (Gratitude)

Petroglyphs

Ah...the human language....certainly something I am very grateful for. These ancient petroglyphs were carved, scraped and chiseled into the sandstone at a site in Arizona called The Little Black Mountain and represent 6,000 years of human habitation and communication. Looking upon the primitive nature of these designs, I found myself feeling both awe and wonder at the age of communication in which we live where email is a way of life for most and the precision of language is a direct reflection of our knowledge about the workings of the universe. I am also grateful for all the tools I have to disseminate my personal message...my camera and this blog being just two of the many fantastic tools. Enjoy.
