Cool Kat Zeke on the Drums
“Drum sound rises on the air, its throb, my heart.
A voice inside the beat says, “I know you’re tired, but come. This is the way.”
I purchased this Ashiko drum almost ten years ago at a Renaissance Festival in Larkspur, CO. When the rhythm of my own heart beat began resonating to the sounds of the drums that broadcast through the air, I was led to the Giving Tree Music store. I remember feeling called. I remember playing just a few drums when I got there and I remember knowing this one drum had to come home with me.
As for Zeke the cool cat, he likes to rub up against most everything and place himself in my pictures when I shoot at home.
