Project Athena - Day 213 (Abstract)

Abstract Metal

I found a good use for the cheese grater this week, in spite of being on my annual food cleanse that excludes dairy.

The thing I love about abstract art is that, for me, it evokes emotion without a story. When I just let myself fall into this image, I feel a sense of keenness and confidence. It can be tempting to go searching for some "thing" that precipitates these emotions but more and more, I find that I am not seduced by shiny stories or winded narratives. I am willing to just allow what is raw, unrefined energy have me. The gift in this is real freedom to then show up fully for whatever is present.
